Ask Maven is your intelligent, conversational workspace for exploring performance insights, uncovering trends, and boosting team productivity, all within the Maven platform. Ask Maven empowers every team to make data-driven decisions in real time. Ask Maven helps you:
- Instantly answer team questions using your organization’s conversation data.
- Boost onboarding and operational productivity by making insights self-serve.
- Continuously improve through feedback loops and usage learning.
Accessing Ask Maven
To open Ask Maven, navigate to Agent Designer > Explore > Ask Maven. The interface allows you to type in questions and select the purple arrow to get a response from Ask Maven with data, insights, and actionable takeaways.
How to Use Ask Maven
Simply ask questions in natural language. For example:
- “Show me conversation volume trends this month.”
- “What’s our resolution rate?”
- “Break down conversations by sentiment.”
Ask Maven understands plain English queries about performance metrics, trends, and categories. You can:
- Filter and group data (e.g., “by app,” “by category,” or “by sentiment”).
- Specify time intervals (daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly).
- Request specific metrics like averages, sums, counts, medians, or maximum values.
- Visualize results instantly with charts or tables - exportable for reporting or sharing.

Supported Visualizations
Ask Maven automatically formats answers into easy-to-understand visuals. You can also explicitly ask for data to be visualized in a specific way.
- You can specify chart type for visualizations: tables, bar charts, pie charts, or line charts
- You can ask to see trends of metrics aggregated over various time intervals: daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly
- You can group data by different fields such as categories, apps, sentiment, feedback, or quality
- Examples: “Show me a bar chart of conversations by tags”, “Create a pie chart of resolution status”, “Give me a table of conversations filtered by positive sentiment”, “Show weekly trends for the last quarter”
Other Actions
- To copy a link from an Ask Maven conversation, click the ellipses next to the conversation and then Copy link
- To delete an Ask Maven conversation, click the ellipses next to the conversation and then Delete
